Anna - I'm sorry you read it that way and perhaps I could've worded it better. This particular letter is meant to be agnostic on the question of Israel, because the point I'm trying to make is that American Jews' right to safety in America should have absolutely nothing to do with the question of who is at fault in Israel-Palestine. It is true that I'm not trying to justify or minimize Israel's actions in this letter, but I'm also not condemning them in this letter.
