I’m an American Jew descended from Holocaust survivors, and in the American oppression olympics I will happily concede “defeat” to Black Americans - no argument there.

The only form of “oppression olympics” I have a problem with is when it’s used to silence particular groups. For example, when I’ve spoken up about the ongoing wave of hate crimes against Jews, I’ve been told to shut up because other people have it worse. I agree that other people have it worse, but that doesn’t mean hate crimes against Jews aren’t an important problem.
