Numbers

There seems to be a pretty serious issue with how these figures are being counted. For example, the source you linked attributing the deaths of 20 million people to the United States included all of the Afghan deaths resulting from the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan, on the grounds that the US "lured" the Soviets in.

That we lured them in is contested in itself, but even if true, does that really mean that every casualty is our fault? Did the USSR have no agency itself? Does it bear no responsibility for its tactics, its campaigns, the duration of its war in the country? And does this idea cut both ways - e.g. is Russia to blame for all Vietnamese casualties at the hands of US forces on the ground that it provoked us by helping the Viet Cong?

It seems to me that if we blame the US for every casualty in every war in which it played any part whatsoever, regardless of who else played a part, we are naturally destined to find it responsible for the vast majority of war deaths in modern history, while letting other powers off the hook.

Stopping the West's quest for dominance

When in history have powerful states not been striving for dominance? Blaming the West for the existence of war and death suggests a serious lack of knowledge of world history.
