Palestinian leaders as well as British and American ones bear responsibility for the Holocaust: in both cases, they kept Jews out before, during, and after it happened. In either case they could’ve saved millions of lives.

In the Palestinian case, the Mufti of Jerusalem did not just lobby for exclusionary immigration policies; he actually went to Germany during the war, organized SS units for Hitler, and planned to bring the Holocaust to Palestine.

In calling Israeli Jews “white” you seem to be exporting American racial categories to Israel. Jews come from Israel - not just according to the Bible, but according to history and archaeology. White-passing Jews enjoy white privilege in America, but Jews in Europe have been considered an inferior race for as long as race has existed as a concept.

A better question would be what they were doing in Europe, and the answer is that they were displaced from Israel to begin with. Furthermore, the majority of Israeli Jews have origins in Arab and African countries, some of which (like Iraq) have passed laws barring their return.

To answer your earlier question, modern Turkey is founded on conquest and genocide: Istanbul was seized from Greek-speaking Byzantines by force, and the modern state with its strong ethnically Turkish majority is built on the genocides of Greeks, Assyrians, and Armenians, as well as the ongoing oppression of the Kurds.

All of this said - as I mentioned in my article, if Germany’s offering the Rhineland, that’s great news.
