I certainly don't subscribe to all of the rhetoric of any movement. I do believe in a thing I'd call "white privilege," though. Because of the color of my skin, I'm less likely to be profiled, associated with criminality, not hired, or otherwise negatively judged in America. I don't believe this because any movement tells me it's true; I believe it because it seems to be scientifically borne out and because I observe harmful assumptions based on skin color being made in everyday life.
